Class Conduct

I am a firm believer in "the buy in". I always bring my homeroom class in on the process of creating the rules for the year. It took us two days this year. We begin by analyzing respect - what does respect look like in regard to God, our peers, our teachers, our classroom, and ourselves. Once we've developed this idea of respect, we turn what respect should look like into rules to abide by, not just in our classroom, but in our specials, the lunchroom, and on the playground.
These are the rules we came up with this year:

The
“Be Nice & Work Hard”
Rules

1. Treat one another respectfully
Always be kind - even when you’re annoyed
Treat other’s property with respect
Don’t interrupt
Be fair - treat other people the way you want to be treated
Use respectful voices

2.  Work Hard
Be prepared
Try your best
Be proud of your work
Put first things first
Don’t be the tortoise of the group - stay on task
Don’t cheat

3.  Self-Control
Stay on Subject
Enjoy the moments, but don’t get carried away
Being in control of the things you say and do
Own your attitude
BE YOURSELF :-)
